Starting my own online plant shop is something I’ve dreamed about for years. For the longest time, though, I just couldn’t bring myself to take the leap. Sure, there were the usual logistical hurdles—finding the right grower, figuring out how to ship delicate plants safely across the country—but deep down, it was the why that kept holding me back.
I never wanted to be just another online plant store, where people order a few pretty plants only to forget about them a week later. I’ve always wanted it to be more than that. I wanted to sell an experience—something thoughtful, lasting, and inspiring. Not just a plant, but a story, a connection, a little bit of green magic that stays with you.
Sure, plants make a home look beautiful—full of life and character. But for me, it's always been about more than just aesthetics. There's a deep sense of comfort in caring for my plants. Whether it's gathering them all on a Sunday for watering and feeding, or keeping a close eye on a leaf that's slowly unfurling after weeks of anticipation, these little rituals bring me joy. My plants fill my days with comfort, excitement, and a bit of everyday magic—and that’s exactly the feeling I hope others get to experience too.
To start, I’ve chosen two of my absolute favorite plants: Hoya carnosa and Schefflera arboricola. These two are not only beautiful and full of personality, but they’re also resilient, low-maintenance, and incredibly rewarding to grow—perfect for both beginners and seasoned plant parents. Hoya carnosa, with its waxy leaves and cascading vines, has a charming, romantic quality that makes it an instant favorite. And the Schefflera arboricola, with its lush umbrella-like leaves, brings such a cheerful, tropical energy to a space. They’re both plants I’ve lived with and loved for years—ones I trust to spark that same joy in others.
I want every plant that leaves my shop to feel like the most thoughtful gift—even if (or especially if) you're just buying it for yourself. That's why each plant comes with a free illustrated care card (drawn by me), a QR code linking to a styling and care guide, as well as a few other small touches to make the experience extra special.
I sincerely believe plants can completely transform a space—but more than that, they can transform how we feel in our homes. I want to help people build a meaningful connection with the greenery they bring into their lives—not just buy something pretty to fill a corner.
There were so many moments I almost gave up—wondering if it was all too risky or too complicated. But every time I saw someone light up when talking about their plants, I was reminded that this idea was worth pursuing.
